He Gave Me a Ring — Then Gave Her the Wedding Episode 1 & 2

Episode 1 — The Proposal That Changed My Life
By Jed The Creator.

The night was quiet, except for the sound of the waves kissing the shore.
David held my hands, his eyes glistening in the moonlight.

“Amara,” he whispered, “you’re the woman I prayed for… the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with.”
Before I could answer, he slipped a silver ring onto my finger.
It wasn’t just a ring — it was a promise.
My heart swelled, tears burned my eyes, and my lips trembled as I said, “Yes… Yes, David.”

We laughed. We kissed.
He lifted me into his arms like I was the most precious thing in the world.

That night, I couldn’t sleep. I kept staring at the ring, replaying his words in my head.
Finally, I had my fairy tale.
Finally, the years of waiting had paid off.

But just as I was drifting into a sweet daydream, David’s phone — lying on the bedside table — lit up.
A message appeared.

I didn’t want to look. I told myself it was nothing. But then I saw it…
“I can’t wait to see you tomorrow. — L”

My heart skipped.
Who was “L”?
Why did my chest suddenly feel so heavy?

David stirred in his sleep, pulling me closer. But my eyes stayed on the phone… and my heart whispered a fear I didn’t want to believe.

Episode 2 — Whispers in the Dark

I told myself not to overthink.
After all, David had just proposed. He loved me… right?

But that message wouldn’t leave my mind.
"I can’t wait to see you tomorrow. — L"
It kept echoing in my head like a bad song on repeat.

I waited until morning to ask him casually, “Babe… who’s L?”
David froze for a second, then laughed nervously.
“Oh, that? That’s just Lydia… my cousin. She’s coming into town.”

Cousin.
I wanted to believe him. I really did. But something in his eyes made my stomach twist.

That evening, we went out for dinner. I wore the new ring proudly, smiling like my whole future was already in front of me.
Halfway through the meal, David excused himself to take a call.

He stepped outside.
I could see him through the glass window, leaning against his car.
He wasn’t smiling. His voice was low. Urgent.
And then I saw it — his lips forming the words: “I miss you too.”

My fingers tightened around the wine glass.
Cousin? Really?

When he came back, he was all smiles again, asking if I wanted dessert.
I smiled back, but in my chest… something had broken.

I didn’t know it then, but this was the beginning of a storm I would never forget.
